cause and effect

the same event will trigger a different response in different people - some people are happy the canucks did not make the playoffs - some are sad - some have no interest either way - and still others have no idea what i'm talking about :)

looking into a more individual focus - what about the person who - is happy today - about the canucks - yet - is sad tomorrow?

will the same event trigger a different response in the same person?

in seduction - people will respond to your suggestions because - ie. you are good looking - and - dislike you for your good looks // - // people will be attracted to what they classify as confidence on day one - and repelled -  by the same characteristic - as it is classified as - arrogance on day two

if an emotional singularity can trigger different responses in the same person - is the event - a trigger 

time

if we store time in emotional events then using an event as an origin  is like using the event to mark time

eg.  cause - my daughter died of cancer

effect on person 1 - x - i used my free will - and - started to exercise and take better care of myself

effect on person 2 - y - i  used my free will - and - started to become depressed

emotional chronology - when my daughter died - i began to exercise and take better care of myself

cause is not the trigger/reason why - it is - the assigned chronological origin

i'm beginning to believe that strange ideas are beginning to be grafted to simple words

along the way - good - became synonymous with - positive - as in the power of positive thinking 

positive thinking does not mean  - think good - happy - thoughts

positive thinking refers to - direction of thought - ie i am going to turn right

juxtapose this with the - negative - not bad - simply - the negative - ie i am not going to turn left

we currently operate under the assumption that the mind responds to what is being entered into it - as a result - if we want - x - then we must enter  - x - into our mental computer

if we enter  - not y - the mental computer will focus on - y - not he desired - x

keep your mind on the prize - and - your desired outcome has a better chance of finding you

as the solstice approaches i find myself at the ywca in vancouver healing my messed up shoulder - for me - it's a personal growth experience. i love going to the gym and pushing my limits

today i found myself discussing the idea of cause /effect and free will - and - personal responsibility - again!

sorry guys until someone can shift my perspective i still believe - you can't have both -

today cause and effect was  defended - "if i drink a glass of water then i would be full of water" - ok - the current illumination of my spectrum of comprehension allows me to agree - but these rules do not apply to our souls' ability to respond - if something happens to a person - do they have the free will to respond - can they in fact turn the other cheek to the misdeed - or - must they us respond  - at all?

additionally - since when are we inanimate objects?

keep the arguments coming - i would like to change my perspective - at least for a while

should i videotape him on the toilet?
